I think what stands out the most in this photo is the post production:

A misty aquamarine sets an early morning feel, while the red is very bold, even blood-like. The very strong contrast makes this photo seem a bit arcane, and I think of vampires!

The positioning and crop is appealing to the eye, and actually rather typical in this type of photo, so not really anything too original I suppose.

Overall I feel like DeviantArt is being flooded with Bokeh flower shots, and while beautiful, they are becoming a bit redundant.
Still, thank you for the wonderful shot!
